Always thought he'd go into management but never envisaged it'd be at such a low level. Stockport are now non-league and have less than a dozen players. Good luck Didi, you'll need it.

While he was County manager I went to a function - on a Friday night - which Palmer attended. I went into the men's and he was having a slash with his right hand/arm propping himself up against the wall...you know, as you doOriginally posted by Alex View PostCarlton Palmer really did a number on them didnt he
.
He was ****ing ****faced.
They had a game the next day and he brought himself on as a sub with 20 minutes left.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

No idea what happened to Andy Kilner but he took them to the brink of the Prem and I don't think has been seen since. Did a great job.Originally posted by Deano View Post9 years ago they held Man City to 2-2 draw at Maine Road in the Championship

It's a good time to take a team at that level though - Other than Luton there isn't anyone with disproportionate resources and most teams are cutting their wage budget. If his name can attract even a couple of decent players they'll do well.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostAlways thought he'd go into management but never envisaged it'd be at such a low level. I guess there isn't the media spot light with them as they aren't in the top flight, hopefully it will allow him to go about his work quietly and then move upwards if he does well.Originally posted by red g View Postseems a crazy move for didi. Would have thought he could have done way better to startThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The Martin O'Neill approach. I hope his teams play more aesthetically pleasing football though.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostI guess there isn't the media spot light with them as they aren't in the top flight, hopefully it will allow him to go about his work quietly and then move upwards if he does well."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
