the same excellent positional sense with which he failed to block a seriously high number of crosses and shots?

      It’s the balance thing, right?
I clearly expressed this as my opinion not as a fact. And willing to give him a second chance, so stop it.

To be fair, it didn’t say how many he failed to block, just how many he did. The blocks was only one less than Evra and Bale anyway and Evra played more games. He also has favourable tackle and interception stats, so what’s to say he didn’t win the ball before any cross was attempted?

Not saying he did BTW, just putting it out there...

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Maybe you should look at the number of clearances again

That's a good point. I would expect it to be more than any other player anyway, given that he had 5 times as many opportunities to block chances as opposing teams constantly targetted him and his position (on account of him being ****e).
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Ha ha, sorry mate, stuck in work for 9 hours with absolutely nothing to do, so gonna take every bit of bait going today.

                      Treble time though.

That helps. Ta. Although that was a separate category.

They probably went way over his head though, him being so short and that.

Won’t happen next year though with his new super-cool barnet.

                            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
