    Nasri to Man Utd?

    According to the beeb:
    FOOTBALL:

Man Utd hopeful of signing Samir Nasri after making £20m bid for the Arsenal midfielder.
If he signs for £20m thats fantastic value, and a propper kick in the teeth for the Gunners.

    Utd slowly but surely rebuilding
    We come not to play.

Only got a year left so £20m is steep. He had a great season after a poor start at Arsenal.

The Mancs piss me off though. When was the last time they bought someone and made them a star themselves? They normally stand idly by and let clubs like Spurs take a chance on a player and just throw obscene amounts of money at them to take them once established. It's so ****ing easy. Anyone could do that.

"Nasri? Modric? Yeah we'll take them, here's £60m. Cheers."

Nasri and Young or Henderson and Downing??

Not much difference in the fees being quoted but it shows how important it is for us to get back in to the top for CL places..

Yep...but they stole him from under our noses, slightly dodgy.

The other one is Vidic, who wasn't exactly plucked from obscurity and again they gazumped us after we'd been on the brink. They really **** me off. Yet again the journos on Twitter are eulogising about his great rebuilding work but seriously any of us could do that FFS.

At the top level developing players comes a poor third to (1) Profit (2) Winning (games/silverware).

            They've Bought:

            De Gea
            Jones
            Young

            Possibly:

            Nasri
            Modric?

Got to say i'm quite envious .

It's a sound model though - they make their own squad members with the Da Silvas, Fletcher, Evans, etc. but buy in first teamers when they need them - focussing on those proven in the league. It is a very sensible use of their position in the division.

They are buying well I'll give them that, but I'm not convinced that they'll be all that stronger though. They need to replace Ferdinand soon, there is not much between Smalling and Jones and they are not displacing Vidic anytime soon. Van der Saar was excellent for them and Young and Nasri look like belated replacments for Scholes and Giggs. Given those players their best team is something like this I presume

                Valencia - Fletcher - Carrick - Nani
                Nasri
                Rooney

Or maybe Nasri instead of Carrick with Hernandez with Rooney? I don't see major changes in their starting XI.
                * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Don't think Nasri is that good - would rate Modric and Sneijder higher.

you'd have to give Fergie "the little pea" good signing that and for only £7 M or so, doesn't quite counter the cash laid out for the likes of Veron, Hargreaves, Bebe or the £17 odd Million for Tosic and Ljajic you could even chuck in Carrick, Anderson to that list of dodgy signings!

But then those don't really matter do they!
