I don't get all the stick he gets from most LFC fans. I mean he's hardly played for us & he's a decent, young backup for Pepe. What do people expect? Us to have Buffon as Pepe's backup ffs?!
Also I can't remember him putting in as bad a performance as the likes of Poulsen, PFK & Jovanovic so I don't get why he's always mentioned with that group of flops...

He's not decent though thats the problem ask any supporter of championship club Middlesboro. Luckily it doesnt matter to much but if he was our only back up to Reina we'd be screwed but thankfully the club are trying to sign someone and get Gulacsi sent out to gain some experience.

He's been appalling even in the reserves, I think he's even been dropped there in favour of Gulasci or one of the other youngsters. Made some massive clangers.

That aside, he seems a decent fella. I saw an interview he made via LFC.TV when he was talking about his kid who has/had a medical condition. Nothing against the guy at all, he just is not good enough to play for us.

Itandje and Cavalieri weren't up to much.. but I haven't seen anything much of this lad..

In truth, we shouldn't really need to use them unless of injury..

Its a shame what he's going through with his kid but he's a dreadful goalkeeper and always has been.

He really isn't. He was regarded as a reliability when he was on loan to Sheff Wednesday - in the CHAMPIONSHIP

He's 29. I know that not old for a goalkeeper, but definately beyond being classed as young.

The only thing he brings over any of our youth goalkeepers - Hansen, Gulacsi etc - is much higher wages.

Nobody expects a Buffon or Neuer as back-up, but Jones is terrible.

Ok, cheers for the clarification guys - I haven't seen enough of him to comment, but I've seen plenty of Poulsen, Jovanovic & PFK - too much of them imo!

I think Gulacsi should be given the back up role personally, I think he's got great potential.

And yeah Jones is a liability, an accident waiting to happen.
