Dean Bouzanis was a Liverpool junior, only left the club last season. Benitez rated him as the best keeper for his age in the world but I guess it hasn't quite happened for him.

Gold Coast team has really been pilfered! Culina and Smeltz their two best players leaving.

Perth Glory have brought in some decent players especially Smeltz and Van den Brink as well as Vukovic in goals.

Matt Jurman was a big loss for us, he was very good towards the end of the season and he will certainly boost the Roar squad.

On that note it seems as if they will run away with it again this season.

I think one of the biggest problems for the league is just how much change occurs in each squad after each season. Clubs have signed up to 10 players in this window alone so far, at least it keeps things changing and new.

Van den Brink was a big loss to us. He went to Korea but never settled and then Perth came in for him Smeltz is a mercenary and stuff Culina. Nothing but a Prima donna IMO.

me - Jono - lives in Sydney but there is just something about SYD FC that doesn't sit right with me. I was hoping to follow Rovers when they came in but the plug was firmly pulled on that one. I went to the Central Coast a year or so back to watch a game there and I felt a lot more at home with it all.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

                  Nice.

Gutted we have lost Flores. Such an amazing player.

Happy to have Bruce back though. He should form a good partnership with the big shiny Dijk.

"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Flores will be a huge loss no doubt about it.

We were so frustrated with Bruce until Smeltz returned and he looked a different player. Gutted we lost both of them TBH. We are all about youth now it seems (except Joel Porter of course) .

That should be worth watching though

PREPARATIONS for the 2011/12 Hyundai A-League season are entering the final stages for Gold Coast United and the match action is set to heat up when Miron Bleiberg’s men take on Melbourne Victory on Sunday 4 September at Owen Park, Southport.

The match venue has been switched from Carrara to Owen Park (Southport Tigers) to provide supporters with an improved game day experience where undercover seating is available in the event of inclement weather, as well as access to the venue’s licensed facilities.

Change of venue in case anyone was making the trip

Is Muscat still playing for the scum of Melbourne ?

                        **** I hate him

I reckon even Muscat's own mother hates him. I thought that he retired.

Apparently Muscat is an incredibly nice bloke off the pitch. Pity he's a dirty nasty prick on it.

He did retire after the AFC champs league but he is on staff now so that's why they might not have him listed as out.

Any UK based fans of lower league clubs I've met have said that Muscat is the dirtiest player they have ever seen and Milwall was the perfect fit for him.
