Aguero was stretchered off during Argentina’s match against Ecuador on Thursday evening, and it’s now been revealed by the Sunday Times that the forward will be out for eight weeks.

That’s a major setback for Aguero, who believed he’d only be on the sidelines for four weeks last Friday.

The Times report that the forward has “suffered a grade-two tear of a muscle in his thigh”.

He's still poor at finishing. But what he has that others don't is the ability to get in those positions. No doubting that as soon as he sorts that aspect of his game out, he could be world class. Still, it's not as easy as getting on the practice pitch and everything will be fine.
