The **** part of all this is that they were such a nothing club and have very little support outside of Manchester. They're so ****ing lucky to have found themselves in this situation. If they do end up being the biggest club in the world then it'll be pretty pathetic that the process could succeed in such a short space of time

As much as I hate financial doping they are building a legacy in north Manchester - In August I got a chance to have a tour of the Stadium and Sports Village from someone that works there. Its very very, very impressive, from teh players rooms at the training ground, restaurants on site for everyone from the players to the staff, they have done a fantastic job in creating a legacy. I believe there are further plans towards the city centre which would grow the club further and further and ensure they are the Manchester club
I make no apologies, this is me

Sounds nice but at the end of the day they'll only ever be Manchester City. They don't have broad appeal

You mean league winners Manchester City. We were once only Liverpool.

                  Agreed.

Our club has had the resources to compete but has been utterly dysfunctional for whatever reason, regardless of the owners.

City do have a vulgarity but also a method. A real long term plan as well as medium term plan and an immediate plan. I really do admire them for that with more than a hint of jealousy.

Says the boy from Croydon (or outer London) who supports Liverpool because they were the best team when he was growing up.

The previous generation (to the kids today) has many Chelsea fans for the same reason.

So it stands to reason that City might actually become a globally supported brand / club.

Fans of other clubs really do laugh at our false sense of entitlement and level of of delusion. And I think they're right.
                  Oh I don't know.

Fair enough that my reason for supporting us wasn't because we're my local side, I've certainly never denied that. I'll defend myself on the 2nd part though. I don't think we have an entitlement, look at my comments relating to how our fans view Spurs and how we lack any respect for them. There's a big difference between aspiring to win this league by spending money and what the Citygroup is aiming for. I'd applause Spurs for winning the league but won't applaud City. I can't wait for a truly level playing field financially because without it I don't think we've much of a chance of winning the league again for a long time

Not bad but clearly no Jordon Pickford

Half of them were blind punts that the receiver made their own.

As I said - he's not Pickford but better than Hart

City go through to the Semi Final on penalties.

So that's Leicester out, knackered and low on morale.

We play them in 10 days

Meanwhile, their next game is Manchester Utd then Watford

Hope they've saved something for that Utd game and then collapse against us. We owe them a dicking.
