Eight clubs move to close City’s European ban loophole
Eight Premier League clubs have joined together to try to stop Manchester City playing in the Champions League next season if they make a request for their two-year ban from the competition to be frozen during an appeal.
City’s hopes of a swift resolution to their legal battle with Uefa have been hit after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) said that all in-person hearings had been postponed until May 1 because of the coronavirus pandemic. It has been suggested that the delay could lead to City asking CAS to freeze the ban until the case has been heard, which would in theory allow them to compete in next season’s competition.What do you mean it could've been anyone?
