I also know two who predate all of this but Dan is right, kids follow winning teams and if this is sustained then future commercial revenue might actually be legit
They’ve improved their structure significantly since the Spanish lads came in and their recruitment is generally excellent now but it was done so off the back of financial doping. Their revenues are a ****ing joke, their wage bill is less than ours which is another joke and they actually are brass necked about it - no humility whatsoever in that club
Newcastle are following suit and don’t seem to be having the Robinho, Jo years….. I suspect they get CL and spend big, let’s see how wisely. I think they might bomb Howe within a year and go for a Nagelsmann type to take them to the next step
Unfortunately it will happen, you will see a load of young City fans springing up over the last 5 to 10 years and now and beyond. They won't care about financial doping or sports washing etc, they will just be delighted to supporting a winning team with all the favorite superstars playing. I bet Norway has had a huge surge in Man City supporters since Haaland joined, the same with Belgian youngsters because of KDB.
It's a sad state of affairs and football is well and truly ****ed.

Probably true that.
I know in Cork that you see a lot of young kids from Muslim and/or African backgrounds going around with Liverpool tops with Salah, Mane and even Keita on the backs.
Plus as there is a growing South American community in the city there are lots of Alisson tops with ones with Firminio or Fab on the back not being uncommon. Some Darwin ones popping up also.
Funnily enough the name I have only seen once on a LFC top in Cork is that of Kelleher and he is from the outskirts of the city on the Blackrock/Douglas side.
Cork may well be a bit of an outlier in some ways though as teams in red tend to sell well given the Munster colours and the Cork GAA colours. So Man U tops are about the place too though nowhere near as many as one might expect from the city that spawned Roy Keane. In fact it always makes me smile when I am on the North Link road and passing by Mayfield to see so many Liverpool tops where Keane is from.
Actually another three places that always seem to have a disproportionate amount of Liverpool tops as well as flags hanging from house windows when a big game is on are Charleville in county Cork along with Bansha and Clonmel in county Tipperary. Just stands out a hell of a lot when there is a CL game on.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

City will be like the child catcher in chitty chitty bang bang, but rounding them up to give them shirts and plastic flags.
Like giving smack samples to lost souls
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

In an attempt to lure the younger generation, the Etihad will be renamed 'Neverland' from next season. Cha-mon!
The FA would have had the charges vetted and revetted through various chambers, can't see them failing on all charges, depends on how many are successful. Remains to be seen how UEFA deal with them if they are found guilty until 2021 ?

Yeah when I've been in Cork, watched few games in pubs and always a **** load of LFC fans it's been great to watch games there.... even if their mad for Murphy's!! I'm a Guinness drinker and every time I go to Cork, "Guinness please", Ah sure why don't you try a Murphy's ffs. No!!!!
City will garner a big base of support in the next 10 years, it's a sad state of affairs but kids are gob****es and will pick whomever is winning at the time, unless they support a club because the likes of their dad does... like I did

I’m in the US and the kids (and a lot of the adults) do something worse over here- they follow players! Lads who were supporting Barca or Real Madrid, switched to PSG and Juventus when Messi/Ronaldo moved on!!

**** knows what pubs you go to if they are pushing Murphys like that.
Unless you are going to ones near the Murphys Brewery or one of the affiliated ones in the city centre.
Been around Cork for years and live in Cork now as well as having gone to Uni there and never saw or even heard of Murphys being pushed onto someone asking for Guinness. Only thing I can think of is your accent gets them doing it for a laugh.
Though all stout is utter **** anyway in my eyes. Beamish, Murphys, Guinness and so on. All strains of the same horrible stuff.
