They should just be recorded as ‘no winner’. People will notice the anomaly for decades to come, question why and learn about it. Better than it being lost to history.

On one hand I feel like I wouldn’t be arsed celebrating titles retrospectively awarded….
But on the other hand, imagine Klopp (and Brendan I guess), and all the ex players coming back for a monster multi title parade!! United and Everton fans would be laughing at us, but it’d be class!I don't tip

this would be nice. Nicer if we were given the titles we got screwed out of but oh well.

Keep getting asked what I think the likely outcome of the hearing will be. So here is my take on:
-What will happen;
-What won’t happen;
-What could happen; and
-What I think will happen.
The vast majority (>80%) of the “charges” will be proven by the PL, including the most serious ones around subversion of FFP and misreporting financials.
Man City will receive a very serious sanction. Relegation is the absolute minimum.
’
UKG will not interfere with the process or the outcome.
No “body of irrefutable proof” will be presented. If City had this, then:
i) It would have been used at CAS; and
ii) It would have been provided to the PL instead of fighting through the English Courts for years to prevent the release of documents (which has resulted in more, very serious charges)
How the PL’s complaint will be proved is TBC. This is because it is dependent on how Man City responds throughout the hearing.
It’s widely believed that Man City will make a strong defence but I don’t think they can do this - the key witnesses will stay home to avoid admitting liability or prejuring themselves. So the possibilities are:
i) Make a poor defence on liability and focus arguments against the severity of sanctions.
ii) Try to cut a deal after 5 November (the date on which third parties cannot initiate their own civil action against Man City).
iii) Have fall guys admit the breaches (after 5 November) but claim it was all done independently of Mansour (to protect the UAE’s reputation).
I don’t know which of these 3 possibilities will happen, but it will most certainly be one of them. The evidence is simply too overwhelming for any other outcome.
David Pannick could successfully argue against the application of the most severe sanctions by analysing sporting impact (similar to how Man City defended itself against Uefa in 2014).
The PL could mess up their arguments for severe sanctions if they only focus on sporting impact and fail to make arguments regarding the criticality of ensuring all PL participants act in good faith. Hopefully they do not and make effective arguments on both.
Charges in every category will be proven. More than 90% total. (I think a few on remuneration reporting and failure to co-operate could be a stretch - the rest are a slam dunk).
Man City will either be:
i) Permanently expelled from the PL until the ownership changes; or
ii) Relegated (likely with a 100+ points deduction) and banned from returning to the PL temporarily (3+ years) with readmission contingent upon the prohibition of APTs and stricter monitoring of FMV on all deals.
A huge fine and title stripping too will be applied too.
Man City will seek to establish a narrative that they have been discriminated against and continue to assert their innocence rather than accept reality.
