People have spoken about wage caps and suchlike, but what about simply a limit of how many players each club can sign within a year or within a transfer window?
Then City would be free to spend their cash, but would have to actually stick to buying who they actually want, instead of just anyone who they dont want their rivals to get.

I'd like to see both, anything at all that gives us an advantage tbf or takes away our wealthy rivals.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostPeople have spoken about wage caps and suchlike, but what about simply a limit of how many players each club can sign within a year or within a transfer window?

you'd have thought the 25 man squad limit in the PL would actually deter some of these players either willing to be there still or signing in the first place, clearly money motivates more than game time for most!
The FFP rule coming into effect simply must come in and be enforced properly sadly with the charlatans and idiots running our game it'll never work properly.

If you look at the squad that PTP posted, 20 of those players will regularly be involved (assuming they get Nasri) and there's 5 spaces left for the rest of the squad or for new signings.Originally posted by rcasemore View Postyou'd have thought the 25 man squad limit in the PL would actually deter some of these players either willing to be there still or signing in the first place, clearly money motivates more than game time for most!

25 is still a big squad. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I know mate, but you'd expect players to at some point think "is this good for my career" problem is always the money they'll offer to get players in - I mean the wages they must be paying out to Bridge, Adebayor and Santa Cruz alone must be huge.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostIf you look at the squad that PTP posted, 20 of those players will regularly be involved (assuming they get Nasri) and there's 5 spaces left for the rest of the squad or for new signings.

FFP simply has to be enforced and properly (I'm sure it won't be though!)

Are UEFA investigating that stadium name thingy? The surely must be? If they get slammed on that one, surely they must sell half their squad?Originally posted by acdmackay View PostMan City are starting to piss me off. Can't they **** off and be happy with what they got. They seem to be chasing every player, including our new target, Coates. When they just signed that Savic player who has potential."Justice has been done."

400M price they paid apparently includes not only stadium naming rights but also shirt sponsorship and development on the new training grounds as well as significant investment into local community redevelopment.Originally posted by Glenn Hysen View PostAre UEFA investigating that stadium name thingy? I think they found the loophole of how to pump the money into a club without getting caught not that I think that UEFA would enforce it even if they would found enough evidence to revoke their license.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

I can't see players wages being a problem at all in the future. They will just let a sponsor pay the players higher wages for image rights etc like Man U and Nike trying to do with Sneijder. The sponsor may even pay a part of the transfer fee like they already do in South America.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a
