Seriously though, spamming on this site is getting way out of control, especially (but not only) when its unfunny and way overused jokes about race or sex.

Getting more than tired of coming across pages of this drivel in all sorts of innocuous threads, especially in the footy section. Occasional friendly banter and "in jokes" are one thing, but when it turns into outright spam its detrimental to the site and we'd be stupid not to address that. So rein it in before it is reined in for you, please.

I'm not going to argue your general points, as you're obviously entitled to run the site in whatever way you wish, but surely 'unfunny' is purely subjective?

I personally find IRWT to be funny more often than not, and think his contributions to the forums serve as a welcome change to some of the more boring and 'meh' posts/posters whose contributions achieve very little in terms of entertainment/fun IMO.

Spam is spam. Its quite obvious what the topics of threads are, I'm not suggesting we're going to get militant about anything that deviates from those at all, but there is a limit and its getting breached in more and more threads of late by a select few posters. Which puts everyone else off and makes for a very dull forum in the long run.

I've asked the mod team to remove on sight anything they judge to be complete drivel in the footy section from now on until it gets under control. Yes, that is an entirely subjective judgement, but such is the nature of forum moderating.

I cant comment on the specific stuff you removed I was talking generally, but with regards to what you posted, your judgement is usually pretty accurate, so that's fair enough.

I'm inclined to agree with you on the off-topic stuff, it can indeed be frustrating sometimes when one notices new posts in a topic that is of interest, and then sees none of the new posts are actually about the topic

It's entirely possible that IRWT has gone a bit OTT with his antics lately, and it's fair enough if that needs to be calmed down a bit. I hope we can allow him to carry on being 'himself' though, within the context of the rules obviously, because i genuinely find him to be a highly entertaining (if a little unhinged) poster, most of the time.

I'm not just talking about one specific poster, although the nature of these things on any forum is that they do tend to involve a small group of high volume posters. In any case, most things in life are usually only entertaining if they aren't overexposed

Previously, it was commonly known that you worked nights, so one could come on here and spread their mischief during the daytimes while you were enjoying your much-needed slumber. But you've become quite sneaky of late. What is one to do?

Oh grow up and don't be so soft, spam is spam whoever posts it, you just happen to do it quite a lot. And you know full well you do. Plus you know what sort of posts have gotten your previous accounts here in trouble before. Asking you (and others) to calm it down, rather than just waiting till things get completely out of control or you say something extra ridiculous and banning you again, would seem to me to be the more sensible option.

Feel free to click logout if you'd rather feel all hard done by that the nasty admin asked you to stop posting so much ****e in every possible thread.

I need to watch what i say in my reply so all i will say is that most people seem annoyed by my posts, which is why i said to put me on holiday.

I don't deliberately try and piss people off or cause offence.

Though it's what i normally end up doing.
