Or maybe welcome to the club whose manager went to City. One of the Madrid clubs possibly.

Reckon there will be a big managerial merry go round this summer with a few surprises.

Report: Pep Guardiola leaving Bayern Munich to manage Manchester City

Pep Guardiola could be heading to the Premier League.

According to reports from beIN Sports in the United Arab Emirates, the homeland of Manchester City’s owners, Guardiola will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season and join Man City as their new manager.

A reliable source has told ProSoccerTalk that the rumors linking Guardiola with the job are unfounded, but this speculation will only continue to heat up as the summer continues.

Guardiola, 44, has long been linked with a switch to City as the pressure continues to mount on current boss Manuel Pellegrini following City’s failure to retain the Premier League trophy they won last season.

A combination of City’s poor displays in the UEFA Champions League over the las two seasons, plus Guardiola’s Bayern losing 3-0 to his old club Barcelona in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal earlier this week could also play a huge factor in making this move a reality.

The reason why Guardiola has long been linked with the City job is due to his relationship with Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain, who have both been directors at Barcelona. Soriano and Begiristain have been in charge as directors at City since 2012 and would welcome a coach who shares their footballing philosophy.

Guardiola has spent the last two seasons at Bayern, winning back-to-back Bundesliga titles, but has come under increasing criticism for his failure to add a UEFA Champions League title to the Bavarian giants trophy cabinet.

After masterminding one of the greatest teams the world has ever seen from 2008-12 at Barcelona, where they won two UCL titles and just about every other trophy going, could Guardiola be heading to England to take charge of City?

I have a feeling he won't be that successful here. Or at least I hope not.

Manchester City are willing to offer Yaya Toure, Samir Nasri, Stevan Jovetic, Aleksandar Kolarov or Edin Dzeko in a deal for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, 22. (Guardian)

At least that confirms City are willing to offload Dzeko. Has his injury record been poor this season or something? Aguero hasn't played much but I still can't remember Dzeko getting a run out like he did last season.

If injury-free we should try our luck, offer £15m.

I dunno, if it's not going to be us, i'd rather it was them winning it with him than Chavs or Utd.

Anyway, moot point, as it will be us.

TBF all of those would be strengthen our team (including the lazy Nasri).

I like Dzeko and given a clear run of games will score goals. I think he's too expensive for us though, his wages will be north of £150k+ per week.

I think most people are expecting that to happen. Next season could be a transition year for City, getting rid of the old players, and Pellegrini bedding the young players. It'll all be set for Pep.

Maybe Rodgers will stun us all next season and gain some European standing.

No point getting down about these managers joining loadsamoney clubs like City. They're still 11 men and we've beaten them twice at full strength now.
