Yet some of our own fans mention the £300m Brendan has spent when critising him. In reality its a drop in the ocean when we are always playing catch up and selling our better players. We would need to spend 100m net each summer to start making an impact, if not more!

Mna Utd. I like that.Originally posted by redmike65 View PostIf this is true I think the PL trophy might as well be thrown at them right now!
I'd hoped City would have a **** transfer summer but nope they seem to have done good business, Mna Utd still look like the weakest side in the Top 4.
(Only the Irish will get it.)That rug really tied the room together.

Man CIty's spending is absolutely disgusting. Blind buying and sure eventually you're bound to get a few right. Poxy club, although I don't dislike them as much as Chelsea or United.

Give it time and in think they'll be just as hated. What sets them apart slightly is that the player's they sign seem to be a nicer calibre and not whinging diving ******s. Silva and Nasri have the potential to be a pair of cunts but they'll never be like Costa and AzzardOriginally posted by danperkins View Post

I don't know why people are moaning about their money, we've spent fantasy amounts compared to probably 80% of the Premier League. Why is it unfair that we can't compete with City when the majority of the other sides aren't able to compete with us? Utter hypocrisy.

We've only just started turning a profit haven't we? Anyway, I don't see the relevance of this. FFP has been eased, they're doing what they're allowed to do. In 10 years time when they've spent years winning things and building a massive support they'll be balancing their books too.Originally posted by ChesterDave View PostOur income bears at least some resembalence to the money we are spending unlike City with their fabricated sponsorship deals that still mean they are spending vast sums compared to what they actually earn.
We did alright with in the 80s when we had the Littlewoods money behind us and City didn't. Utd did alright when they exploited the massive commercial potential of a football club ahead of everyone else, and took off. City have been fortunate, but they've spent long enough outside of the top 4 and are now enjoying time in the Sun.
Fair play to them, I'm sure very few people moaning on here would be doing so if we had their owners.Last edited by tanner; 22-08-15, 12:13 PM.SakhoPotatoes
