I'm not belittling him but this will be his first real test, he had the forsight to bomb the players mentioned above (and later Zlat) and build the team around Messi. Added to that he inherited Valdes, Puyol, Pique, Dani Alves, Xavi and Iniesta in their prime - look what they did for Spain. The only B team player that made an impact was Busquets and that was also a no brainer. The core of the team stayed the same through the time he was there and that also helped.

I genuinely believe any of us could manage Bayern to the Bundesliga and it was the easy choice for him. His tactics saw them ruthlessly exposed by the pace and counter attacking of Real and we'll see again this year. He was lauded for playing Lahm as a CM where arguably Alaba is much better there.

There us no doubt he is a serious manager with revolutionary ideas on football but City will spend big to satisfy him and without a Messi or Robben let's see. The EPL might not be as good as Spain or Germany overall but the gap between the teams is smaller but if he can get City beating the lesser ala Fergie then they might dominate England. He will however be measured on his success in Europe.

Pep will be under a lot of pressure to deliver the title. I'd say that's the only thing he has to worry about. I'm guessing City are going to attempt getting Messi/Neymar/Pogba in to assist him, but he will be expected to deliver. No four year plans allowed when you have got an open cheque book.

Bit early for the pressure to be getting to him - I agree with him about press conferences though. Most of them are utterly pointless beyond giving hacks the bare bones of an article.

Bayern should just **** him off. He's not going to win the champions league and the janitor could win the German league with that squad.

We won't 11 on the bounce. All we had to do was win more consecutive games in a single season than any team has managed. Bottling cunts those Liverpool players. Don't talk ****e.

                        Either way, the point stands.

Nah, they were looking borderline shaky before any announcement. And there really is no shame losing to Leicester atm. Strange as it sounds. Not that it will stop me taking the piss.
