A few have said it but fighting on four cup fronts could begin to take its toll on the team mentally as well as physically. They did look tired and lacking creativity tonight... seemed to think they just needed to turn up to win. After 27 seconds they probably thought it would be a walk in the park and then couldn't snap out of it in the second half...
We need to take advantage of this slip and make sure we come out of the blocks quickly against Leicester tonight. We need to make a statement that we aren't gonna bottle it this year...
Watched about 20 minutes last night during which the Toon barely made it out of their half so went and did the washing up. Absolutely stunned to hear the result driving to work this morning.
Watched more than me then...put it on a couple of minutes before kick-off, remembered tomorrow was recycling collection so went to put the bins out, came back in and they were already a goal down. So turned it off and watched two episodes of American Vandal (Season 2) on Netflix instead.
Was a pleasant surprise to see the score appear on my notifications on my phone!

Totally agree...
We need to come out at full tilt tonight and go for them from the start, and show we mean business.
The way I look at last nights City result, is like a Tennis match where a player has broken, and it aint a break until he holds his own serve. So we need to hold serve tonight and take the 3 points, and make that slip up count in our favour, otherwise last night is meaningless.
Opportunity is knocking, let's grab it with both hands and smash them tonight!
El Kloppo !!
"As a player I had fifth division skills and a first division brain. The result was a second division footballer"
"How could I justify picking up my pay cheque if I stand here and say the tie is over? It would be just as stupid as saying we're going to walk all over them [in the second leg]. I can always supply silly answers to silly questions...... Yes, the tie is over, but we have to play them anyway."
