I hope CAS tell them to **** off. Cheating cunts

If they don't then we all know who's running the sport from this point on

I don't understand how CAS can get involved now. UEFA have the right to set their own rules, and they haven't made a ruling yet, surely they have to make a ruling first the if City don't like it they can appeal to UEFA and then to CAS?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Horrible cunts have come into football and think they can do what the **** they want. I hope they are hailed to the wall by UEFA but also CAS.

I dunno.......claim any punishment, such as a ban, could not only potentially cause loss of earnings for the club, associated organisations, sponsors, but also directly impact the players' worth, livelihood and potential earnings in the future etc

That's the kind of **** that could be twisted about and taken into account.
All because they (more than likely) essentially violated the rules set by a private sporting group for their private sporting competition.

**** em out for good if you ask me, and then the FA should be obligated to review City's parameters for meeting their own guidelines.

This all stinks of City trying to apply pressure or get something sorted out, away from public view (i.e. before UEFA have made and announced a decision that they would find it difficult to go back on). It feels like there is something (else) dodgy going on here, I just hope UEFA don't fall for it.

Then players are free to sue the club for putting them in this position.

UEFA set and enforce the rules, it's up to clubs to follow them.

Wouldn't put it past City to argue that......again, playing the poor mouth.

Anything to make it appear that they're just a football club trying to get by in the modern times.

CAS is the Court for Sporting Arbitration

Its essentially the high court of football

The first port of call after any UEFA sanciton is CAS

Not sure this would work, I assume any appeal would have to offer evidence that the investigation was flawed and came to incorrect conclusions

CAS can only take on an appeal against a decision made by a governing body once the governing body's own processes have been exhausted.

The first port of call after any UEFA sanction is to appeal to UEFA.

Also wasn't there some threat that if you went above UEFA to the CAS, you're effectively disqualifying yourself (as a club) from UEFA registrations/competitions etc?

Now I'm no legal eagle... but having watched enough of these court room dramas, US dramas, A Few Good Men, etc... a good lawyer will just take the exact opposite stance to what they're taking...

i.e. if they are claiming they would 100% be penalised by the enforcement of a European ban, loss of earnings, player values, etc... then surely they are saying that they are currently deliberately and falsely benefiting from much higher revenues, higher player wages, more attractive club status, inflated player values due to breaching the rules and becoming more appealing and successful as a result...

                            I rest my case.
