This. City play nice football, but they are very much a Plan-A sort of team. Ok OK that plan works an awful lot of the time, but football moves on and teams work out how to nullify it to a point.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostMaybe teams have figured out how to defend the one, across-the-ground pass they play twenty times a match.
Unlike us - we have so many strings to our bow, and Klopp trusts the players to be able to work things out on the pitch - City seem (and tbh I dont watch them so I may be talking from my lower regions) to just keep trying the same thing or a very similar variant all the time.

Although they do have a plan B too. Crossing. Lots and lots of (largely unsuccessful) rudimentary crossing. Which is a bit odd tbh, given their personnel.Oh I don't know.

I think all season we've responded well to adversity. Injury (Alisson, Matip, Lovren, Keita, Milner, Mane, Salah), VAR, playing poorly, teams trying to nullify us.
We've just not let these things be an excuse. The fact that the entire squad was a part of the CL win as opposed to those selected for the final was a masterstroke. Everyone is motivated. We carry no passengers and because of squad unity, when players come in they are flying.
City have not. Also Sterling's form dropped after his confrontation with Gomez where he looked like a massive **** and damaged his profile which at that point was as high and squeaky clean as it had ever been.Last edited by Buzzo; 08-02-20, 11:31 AM.Modifying post.

They seem to be convincing themselves they are going to get millions in damages because CAS have said it is worrying leaks have come from UEFA in regards to the FFP investigation. They definitely have convinced themselves they didn't financially dope despire sponsorship payments predating agreements, massive expensive to service debt wiped off the books, and over inflated sponsorship values from group companies.Football without Origi is nothing
