Different ownership at the time but what can be gained by getting him to speak for them? Mitigate their liability to say he was acting solo. Nobody thinks he was under active instruction to do what he did, do they? Seems bad taste with all the wealth they have to not just pay the money and let people try to move on.

I agree with a lot of that but paying the money makes them complicit somehow? As I said I’m not sure how to feel but getting him to be a witness isn’t a good look
From the owners perspective : - why would you want to pay money for incidents that has happened before you bought the club?...I would sympathise with what had gone on but not my problem, to be blunt & my legal team would make it like that as everyone knows that my club ain't short of a few bob but ain't generous with it either!
