I had forgotten that City now have 3 statues of the great players from their history. Kompany, Silva and now Aguero. The first of which signed in 2008.They could have also put statues of players like Colin Bell or Franny Lee, the fact they aren't celebrating players of previous eras says alot

People love Blackburn's story of how Jack Walker came in and put a lot of his own money into the club, bought some great talent (like Shearer) and won the league against the might of Man Utd.
Contrast with how representatives of a nation state with a bad human rights record came in and financed purchases through dodgy sponsorship deals and oil money, bought some great talent (like Aguero) and won the league against the might of Man Utd..Was muß, das muß.

Well he signed a contract with Geelong, so if he chooses to come back he'll be playing for us.Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostYeah we chatted about Oisin Mullin last year. Cracking player and one that has the looks to be very marketable off of the pitch as well as the potential to be excellent in a pro game.
I reckon he may move to Oz at a later date as he is still only 21 or 22. I still stand by my thoughts on how he would do in Oz and think he would excel there as he is a wee bit stronger in build now than he was when we chatted about him and his reading of the game is second to none despite his young age. I also think that he may have had his head turned by another AFL team that is prepared to wait for him. Either that of the Gee part of your team is off putting to him as midland and west coast lads here would not take to being called a Gee head.
I think he is one of the best young footballers in the GAA and one of the few that I think would be good walk right into the Dub team where he not a Mayo man.
Fab playmaker from defence too.
To compare him to a football (soccer) player, he would have a touch of a Thiago to his play in that he is not the biggest lad on the pitch but can take knock and give them back, but seems to see a pass, by hand or foot, before other players and he has a lovely knack of being able to anticipate where an attacker is going to run and get in close enough to either nick the ball enroute to the attacker or to just jostle the attacker enough to cause the move to break down.
Would have enjoyed seeing him in the AFL once he has six months or so to adapt and bulk up a little as he has all the tools to be a bit special in Aussie rules."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

It's reasonable to think that way if we're also-rans, but under current circumstances they are denying us a fair fight, so it's hard to just dismiss them.Originally posted by Bender View PostDon't care how rich they are or how many trophies they win or who they sign, forever a corrupt joke club

Thought that was withdrawn after he said he was not making the move? Just got that impression from interviews he has given this year.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Anyone notice that pep didn’t make any subs today? Same as the game against palace. Chasing a goal and you have foden and sterling sitting on the bench… hopefully it knocks their confidence!
Was thinking it’s a balls that they have a full week to prepare the villa game now, but in a way it might be a good thing- a week in their heads, dwelling on the missed penalty, their shaky defense, what if they throw away the title 2 weeks after bottling the CL, etc etc etc.I don't tip
