I'm feeling really bitter. We've done things the right way and every time we come second, these money cheating cunts are the ones above us.

        He's no Viera, is he?

        Or Martinez.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Me too, I wrote a post last night which I decided not to post in the end, about how it their penalty decision at Everton how that gifted them two points for (which the PL apologized to Everton) , ultimately won them the league. That's before you get into the financial doping and another league season that is tainted by that, this investigation taking 3 years is a piss take, they have all the evidence, make a ****ing decision
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Winning the league has always been the golden chalice but there's just too much to invest in this when the outcome seems to be the same. Margins are ridiculously tight and the small amount of assistance they get is enough to swing it in their favour

To be honest that penalty at Everton will take some getting over for me given how the season ended, I guess you can argue that had it been given that Everton still had to score it and/or City might have had time for a winner, or it changes the way the two sides approach the run in etc

But for me the fact that the league have said that the decision was wrong but there is no accountability and City were given the points which ultimately won them the title, given such margins it is a bitter pill to swallow. I know there are other decisions that could have swung it one way or another but it's the apology to Everton and the admission that this one was wrong which really makes it worse for me. (As far as I can recall there have been no other apologies for incorrect decision involving either side).

Would be a piece of piss to prove it, and the deterrent would stop most.

Stadium bans, along with getting done for trespassing into a private workplace.

Assault charges if they lay hands on a player, manager or as seen yesterday a steward.

You take a person down in the street the way the steward was after the City game, then you end up in the nick. Coward made sure to knock the steward from behind as well.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Doubt we will. Probably for fear of devaluing the brand (winner of 4/5 seasons cheated) I just don't see it. Also because they are probably fearful of a massive legal challenge by City. I reckon we will see a fine and a commitment to comply with the rules. It's a joke.

To be fair though, if that's a draw then it probably changes how both City and us approach the subsequent games, so, while a body blow, who knows what would have happened

I'm bitter because we've been almost perfect the last 3-4 years (apart from the injury-decimated 20/21) but that's only made us competitive for the title, due to the vase financial gulf. It shouldn't require a team (a very wealthy team, top 5/10 in revenue) to have to be perfect just to be competitive for the league

There's something very wrong with that if that's the case going forward

If we all think City's oil money is bad, wait for the Saudi state to finance Newcastle properly and we'll be getting 80+ points every season and getting 3rd...

                            Ha yes that's fair enough

Maybe the super league isn't so bad after all...

I fear you are right, this 'investigation' has been going on for 3+ years despite most of the evidence already having been available to UEFA for their investigation which was time barred, we are probably now talking about 10 years of football, if that had acted a couple of years ago it would have been 8. That's potentially 2 more tainted seasons which is bad for the brand.

A fine really would be a piss take for such rule breaches as it is essentially letting t buy their way out of trouble and it is the chucking money around that got them into this in the first place.

Everton are similar. Massive losses, but nothing being done. The league lack the bottle to issue points deductions. I expect them to give slaps on the wrist, and then say afterwards that anyone else breaching will get points deductions. Bottle job.
