Whoever wins the City vs Real game is going to win the champs league. The other semi is so weak. City vs Real should have been the final but what can ya do. It's going to be a cracking game, couldn't call it but rooting for Real nonetheless.

Been said a lot about Real the past four or five years that they will come a cropper against a big team over two legs.

Same has been about them coming up short in once off games.

Think if there is one team in the CL almost every season that you cannot write off, it is them.

They have everything that Bayern had that made things uncomfortably for City plus the one thing Bayern did not have at all and that is clinical finishers.

The current Real team are pretty much Rope A Dope Muhammad Ali. You can try to out muscle them, out play them, you can even land a few shots and take a lead against them, and they simply never let their heads drop and will keep going until they get the hint of a chance and suddenly they go on a spree of goals.


And is not as though they are a team full of guys aging badly, they have plenty of quality young players in there to do the leg work whilst Modric has found the Holy Grail and takes a swig from it before each game.

Man for man they can match or beat City in almost every position.

Haaland pips Benzema (and whilst he outscore Benzema I say pips because Benzema adds more link up play ).

But for me the Real back line matches or beats the City one, same for the Real Midfield (as a unit).

Courtois is better than Ederson and especially in tense games when under a lot of pressure.

Out wide I give Real the nod also.


Real do not have to fear any team in the CL and have the collective experience of getting across the line time after time that City simply do not have in the competition.
