Which is why football is no place for state actors or sovereign wealth funds.

Sport has always been separate from politics, once clubs have political sway in this manner there's no hope

            And preferred trade deals.

Can't imagine any of the Tory cabinet are sports fans, the impact of doing a government level deal to stave off a proper punishment for City won't really hit home to them

You'd think majority of the clubs would just leave the prem and make their own new league with a rule saying no state *******s own clubs.

The promise of a cushy consultancy job for the minister for culture media and sport should make it go away.

Yeah I was thinking that, interesting time to move to your City rivals, given the relative on filed position/situations at the clubs. I guess Man Utd could have offered more money, but surely City could match it if he is that important to them...

I still think the precedent being set with Everton and Forest will have baring. I’m not optimistic City will be punished, but I thinks it’s more likely with precedent than it would be without.

How many signatures do we need on a petition to make them change their mind? 10k would be a breeze, probable even 100k just from our own fan base with a few celeb retweets.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

...but City aren't state owned are they, so this shouldn't have any effect

Yeah! It would be so much better if they didn’t buy those goods from us instead!

We could close all the factories that made them and just blame the Tories like we do for everything else. Simples.
