Ah, well, at least it is sort of win/win, if they go out, they might have trouble signing top players? They are not guaranteed CL next season any more than us.

I'm sure if they lose against Udinese they drop into the Europa League. Perhaps I'm wrong?!

nope the loosers of the last qualifying round also drops straight in to the EL group stage - it's really the consolation league now.

Would be very funny to see them get bounced out but I agree with you entirely. It really does look like a shootout for 4th between us and Arsenal this season so them tied up with a CL campaign will do our chances no harm at all.

UEFA had to throw big teams a bone when they made it possible for two decent teams to meet in the CL qualifiers.

OK, I find it a bit silly though, If Arsenal end up in the Europa they will just play there youngsters, hope they get past Udinese but if they don't I guess it's a laugh at least.

I know this is an Arsenal thread but whilst on the subject of the CL - anyone else think Man City are gonna tear it up in the CL this year?

Yep, think it'll suit them down to the ground. Although Mancini's record with Inter was ****e I think they'll have a good run. Won't win it obviously.
