Too easy to just blame the ref, also the problem for Arsenal appointing a new manager is will they allow him to be competitive along the lines of City,Utd and Chelsea when it comes to signing player, transfer fees and wages,I doubt it very much and they've become a cash cow for Kronke and Co.

Its fine saying that, and we both know in a business sense this is the only sensible way to do things. But who cares if a club is sustainable when you win a match against Bayern/Barca every year for your efforts. I can see why the fans are getting annoyed.Originally posted by Fredo View PostWe will see. They're running the club sustainably, much like we do. Maybe they should be a bit more adventurous in the market but if a player ain't available or would require an auction to sign, then there is a line to be drawn.
If it was Klopp in charge for 10 years without doing much more than top 4 and the odd FA Cup, then I think a lot of us would be calling for him to go and to change things.
No one has a divine right to win, but they sure as hell have a right to try and win. Wenger isnt doing that for them now sadly.*Except Michael, who died.

Chelsea and City money massively hit both us and Arsenal over the last 10 years. The only difference is we kept trying, and failing miserably, to be relevant whereas Arsenal (owners and management) were happy to ride the mediocrity wave. Arse fans were fooled for a long time too, its only in the last 2 or 3 years their eyes have finally opened.Originally posted by ntto View Postthe only reason why Arsenal are where they are is because of the emergency of the money at Chelsea and Man City. That has to be a massive part in their "decline"One tit for another.

not sure I agree with that to be honest. Rio Ferdinand has been repeating that viewpoint as well over the last few weeksOriginally posted by BigChief View PostChelsea and City money massively hit both us and Arsenal over the last 10 years. Arsenal's owners (and indeed ours) could come out and say the title is our objective - but that's incredibly difficult to achieve and in all likelihood you'll have to break the Man City / UTD / Chelsea hold over the title the past 10 years. Given the money and resources they can call on that's incredibly difficult.
And yes I know the anomaly in Leicester.
So having the owners state that is only setting themselves up for failure unless they cough up the cash to compete in the market with those 3 clubs - and that's not over one window - that's over transfer windows over a number of years consistently spending big money.
Only once you've done that can you say you're competing with the Man City / UTD / Chelsea.
So if Arsenal tell Wenger he has to win the title and he doesn't then he's failed and what do the owners to then because they've backed themselves into a corner.
I suspect the brief is top 4 and compete for the title if possible - I suspect it's the same for Klopp as well.
Arsenal have arguably been more successful that us over a 10 year period on and off the pitch where other clubs have faltered

True and the fans to a point should be careful what they wish for, also vent your frustration at the board as well.Originally posted by ntto View PostShould add as well - seeing Arsenal fans demonstrating outside the ground chanting that Wenger was ruining their club was pretty sickening IMO. Guy has given the club his life and their most successful period
