If Liverpool started playing like Arteta's Arsenal I'd chuck it and go back to watching my local lower league or amateur team.

There's zero pleasure or enjoyment to be had in the way that Arsenal team are setup to play 'football'

I think if a team was actually winning something to justify the negative style of play, then supporters of that team would enjoy grinding out results and enjoy the ire of opposing fans, but playing that way season after season and coming up short when it comes to the big bits of silverware.....

Only Sunderland have a lower XG than Arsenal when you take out set pieces. They didn’t lay a glove on us today imo they had periods of pressure but we absorbed it.

It must be incredibly frustrating to support them. They were matching us punch for punch today, but still were wasting time, at every opportunity they got- rice walking slowly to take each corner etc.. showed no ambition to go and win the game. Their strategy was to keep it tight and try catch us out on a set piece if possible.

Gyokeres getting a lot of stick, but have to say, he reminds me a bit of Haaland. Haaland can be completely anonymous for most of game, have 5 touches and still score 3 goals. Gyokeres also has that ability to be completely anonymous.
