I don't know. They are not good this yr but at least they try and win.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostCity aren’t good enough or consistent enough, I think Arsenal may stumble over the line like we did last season by virtue of having such a strong start. It’s infuriating seeing this and knowing if we remotely had our **** together we’d win the league
Think arsenal maybe experiencing what we have this season.. Solid team but quite a lot of early fortune to edge tight games. That looks to have run it's course and more draws... and now mentally they have to hold it together.. think they may retreat more which would be worse for them and mean a lot more draws. Where city may lose a couple but will win more games..

I’m not sure. Agreed on City’s flaws, the difference to us was we had no one pushing us.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostCity aren’t good enough or consistent enough, I think Arsenal may stumble over the line like we did last season by virtue of having such a strong start. I disagree that we stumbled over the line. We won at a canter and absolutely left for the beach. Had we been chasing the title we were on for mid 90s in points. We only got 2pts from the last 4 games and still won it by 10pts. Even after losing to PSG we managed 12 from 15 to secure the title.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostCity aren’t good enough or consistent enough, I think Arsenal may stumble over the line like we did last season by virtue of having such a strong start. Arsenal can still get to 91pts but my guess is that they'll end up on around 80. They'll celebrate it and history will wank over the fact that they have generally underachieved. There's a good chance they win it with 10 less points than they got 2 years agoLast edited by Norbs; 19-02-26, 09:04 AM.

We didn’t stumble across the line though - we were 15 points clear with 5 to play when we beat Spurs (and that was down to Arsenal continually dropping points)!Originally posted by Irishnev View PostCity aren’t good enough or consistent enough, I think Arsenal may stumble over the line like we did last season by virtue of having such a strong start. The things that expose Arsenals weak mentality are the time wasting to see games out, like Trossard last night. Then the messaging from Arteta this also always seems flaky and weak. I do also think they are realistically the best team but their mentality seems weak.
We also didn’t really have City in the equation last season, Arsenal have been here before and they have blown it before.Modifying post.
