FIFA want to change the football calendar

To run from February-November - which obviously means playing through the summer, and leaving the winter months free.

Now, i wonder why FIFA might want to leave the winter months free, in a few years from now....

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I hate FIFA and despise Blatter.

They thought money first and details second and it's making them look transparent.

I don't know too much on the subject, but can't UEFA distance themselves from FIFA?

amazes me their complete and utter contempt towards the game itself, I mean it's so transparent as to why they want to do this it's not funny.

I'd love to see a breakaway from these clowns, it would take several top nations to do so worldwide saying "no confidence" in Blatter for this to happen (hence it won't as too many palms are greased through him)

I'd actually be happy if there was no WC in Qatar through withdrawls rather than change the league format to suit their corruption.

Personally, as a selfish football supporter, i quite like having my summer days free of football and travel. I mean, i miss the football - but if we have to have a break, as we obviously do, then i'd rather it was in the summer.

Winter's ****, at least the football can give us something to brighten up the dreary days. Summer is ace without the need for football.

One other point though - with the ever-worsening winters, snow and suchlike, games being called off due to travel safety issues, that's the one major advantage i could see with ****ing off the winter calendar.

Fifa though, of course, arent doing it for any of those reasons.

I would perfer summer football. Evening kick-offs in the summer. Chill out and relax. Think World/Euro Cup every Sat or Weekday
