    Er, I hope you're joking.
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

With regards to the usual participants in the Champions League, I hope Chelski and ManUre lose but I don't mind seeing Arsenal make progress (as long as it isn't at our expense).

In the UEFA Cup, there are teams in there who I would want to win (such as West Ham) and others who I dislike greatly (such as the Buffoon Army and Boro) and therefore enjoy seeing them lose.

nope, tried to "support" Arsenal last year after we got knocked out, but kept wanting the opps to win. Chavs and Mancs-hahaha never.

              Absolutely ****in not.

Want the scum to get beat every match they play, goes without saying.

Same goes for Chelsea. I'm a bit more ambivalent to Arsenal but when they reached the final last year I was glad they got beaten.

Not arsed about any of the Scottish clubs. They'll never come close to winning it anyway.

Aside from ourselves obviously, i cheer on Arsenal that's it.

I watched it in the pub...a pub full of United fans on the night, and a few of my mates (sadly) are too. I was the ONLY ONE IN THE PUB who cheered when Basler scored for Bayern. I more than cheered. Went ****ing mental.

The equaliser was horrible, with several :whatever: in my face - although rather more frenetic than that particular smiley.

The winner was horrendous. There was a mass pile on by all the Manc ****s and some prick shoved me from behind, rather forcefully, and sent me into the pile-on. I knew most of 'em in there, and they made sure I stayed there, getting soaked in ale and loads of 'rubbing it in'. It was a dreadful experience.
                      Ouch.

I don't understand the significance of the ****** sign, nor do i partake - i equate it to the easy chant at grounds.

CL horribilis - I was in my local that night, thankfully the place was dead (weds ?). Horrible none-the-less

BTW i love the way Arsenal play. But it was a real quagmire in the CL final, ultimately i wanted them to lose. They did and i was happy. I pretty much hate any other club but us progressing.

Always want Arse, Mancs and Chavsea to lose, and lose badly. Don't understand the mentality of those who say "ah, well, I hate the Mancs, and Chavsea, but I quite like to see Arsenal to do well." Why?

Got a soft spot for Celtic 'cos they're my old man's team.

United winning the European cup in 1999 was one of the worst nights of my life. I was also a student in Manchester at the time. It was unbearable and only Istanbul has irradicated those memories.

Ahhh, those wild and crazy nights supporting Tranmere in Europe.

Clearly you don't have any recollection of the Anglo Italian Cup

I bet you don't either considering the state you get in at matches
