Colin Jackson was Welsh, and a hurdler, who ran for Wales, in the commonwealth games at least. Comes across as rather camp, but apparently quite the ladies man.

Fascinating Fact(not really!) Colin Jackson's sister played Mick Johnson's wife Josie in Brookside.

I have met him at school (as a county athletics champion for the U12 boys) where I got him to write 8 autographs so I could sell 7 of them, he gave me a funny look but obliged anyway, why did I care, I'd never see him again.

However, I also bumped into him in the street in Cardiff and again at Heathrow Airport, but didn't get any more autographs, they aren't worth **** anyway.

                  No ****ing way!
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Always puzzled me why Josie was never tempted to boast about it to the other residents of Brookside Close. I know I would have.

                      I always preferred Tony Jarrett.

I used to love how Jarret used to run with his chain in his mouth

                          Yes

Point is both of these players would make a significant difference to the Scottish national team. They would be 1st team regulars yet they chose to turn their back on their nation.

The vast majority, if not all, of the other players mentioned since in this thread had little or no chance of playing for their country of birth. With the possible exception of John Barnes

Both are CAtholics innit. They obviously feel more for Ireland than Scotland. It's like me in the past when I went through a lot of racist abuse as a youngster. I felt more for the country that my parents came from than I did for Scotland.
