We bid for Jones after Henderson had been signed, so I don't think Henderson has impacted on our desire the bring a centre back in. Gerrard can score & break teams down no (obviously when he is back fit)?

In 3 months I think our play will be all about ball rentention and playing more one touch stuff, integral to this is Henderson, he's so good in tight positions. He is much more suited to this style than some others on our books.

You're deluded and have a very short memory, to let Meireles is nothing short of stupid, I don't care who I'm insulting. It's only a matter of time until people see that Henderson and Adam simply are not good enough, if they weren't British we would have never bought them because they are not good enough. And when people realise this in a couple of weeks/months, Meireles, the current PFA fans player of the year, will be back in the team, or worse still, we'll need him in the team but he'll be in Chelsea's team.

He's on a low wage so we can't use the wage bill as an excuse, we need strength and depth so keep the lad, a quality versatile game changer.

Ask yourselves, why do Chelsea want him? If we need to sell anybody sell Cole, sell Maxi, sell Pacheco, sell Spearing, sell Poulsen, sell Degan, but for Christ's sake, don't sell, arguably along with Lucas, our best player of last year. If we have top four aspirations, or title aspirations, selling Meireles isn't a good way of showing it.

Agree with this part, Maxi bit excepted. Wouldnt claim he was our best player last season, but we certainly shouldnt be looking to get rid.

I couldn't agree more. Meireles is a quality footballer and is the type of player we need to keep if we want strenght in depth. I recall Kenny saying a lot of good things about him last season and I would like to see him link up our attacking play with Suarez, Gerrard & Downing. Certainly in our home games when we can be more offensive.
