I’ve heard a few times tonight about how great a keeper DeGea is and how he’ll come good. It’s the same line peddled out by most of the media, with them all suddenly being experts on Spanish football.

Pepe was a much better keeper when we signed him, the best in Spain according to Rafa, broke all sorts of clean sheet records in the first few years, yet it was only a year or two ago he started getting any sort of credit. For years they’d have you believe he was poor in the air and struggled from crosses.
