    Emmanuel Adebayor

Further proof (if any needed) of what is wrong with Man City and their obscene ways:

Manchester City are ready to let Emmanuel Adebayor join Tottenham on a free transfer two years after spending £25m to recruit the striker from Arsenal.
    Full story: Sunday Mirror

The story also talks about Spurs being not willing to do a permanent deal, preferring to take him on loan. Again this is so wrong that a £25m (whether he is worth that much is debatable I know) is being loaned from one Premiership team to another.

    Free transfer???

Surely more than just Spurs will be in for him, if he's free.

    I'd ****ing take him.

Well I guess it's his wages that are the problem if he is on a free as no doubt he will think he should be on the same amount as he is on at City wherever he goes.

        I suppose so. £170k p/w on a 4 year contract is over £35m.

Football is a joke nowadays. From £25m to a free.

Certainly is, especially when you consider this free is probably still too much money for most teams...

Been saying this for ages. City can beef up Spurs, Villa and the likewith loaned players and turn them into more formidable sides when playing City's closest competitors. Man Utd, Chelsea etc. The same players will not be facing City when they play them. This is plain ****ing wrong. Man utd loaned out 2 keepers to lower teams a couple of years ago to West Brom and Watford I think turning those teams into more difficult teams to beat for the rest of us. Should not be allowed.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

Did anyone ever think for 1 second that he'd be a success at City and prove good value for money?

I'd take Bellamy back for free though.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I think he would of been a success at City if City didn't just go out and buy the next/big name/fashionable striker a couple of months later.

I've always felt he's overrated and his reputation was built on the strength of one decent season for Arsenal.

Has joined Spurs on a season long loan.

Loans like this between clubs in the same league are just wrong.

Good player, he'll do well for Spurs.
