Top professional who always gave his all. Sad to see him go but at 32 he's on the turn. Liverpool fans have long memories and he'll be held in fonder terms than Torres, which in a way is a bit ****ed up

Well said mate, I was really fond of him. Good luck Soto.

Yeah good luck soto - tried his best, did a job for us during a horrendous period of the clubs history - became a cult hero, good pro - just lacking a bit as age caught up with him and it was time for him to move on.

Best of luck to him the crazy greek *******.

In terms of replacement - i would like to believe we have someone lined up...

        In order i'd probably go

Cahill - like the look of him, decent footballer as well as a good defender.
Coates - don't know much about him but would hope he was better than the two below
Dann/Shawcross - not to keen on either of these
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Has to be 100% certain that at least one coming in...............otherwise its a managerial decision of Roy proportions.

Aside from replacing him at centre back who is going to replace him as the crazy cult hero following Kyriakos, Biscan and Mad Erik
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Seems we have cash to burn as we now have no choice but to buy. Would've like to see a target secured before selling a key player. Really strange timing IMO

                  Yeah...s'pose so.
Anything can happen with player deals.....plus the fact that with the season already in motion, we've sold a backup CB.....but we can't say hand on heart exactly who is coming in (and neither can the media)

Anyway, this departure. Another nail in the coffin for the ITKs. No one saw this one coming.
                    Oh I don't know.

I think the myth has outgrown his ability

He started off appallingly, then improved, had a few good games, but was ultimately an honest, yet average footballer.

I'm not sorry to see him go but I wish him every success in Germany.

I remember that European game in which he made a mistake for a goal and was absolutely castigated.

He did get better after that though.
                        Oh I don't know.

Kenny: "It's fantastic for Soto. It prolongs his career in football.

"He was good to have in and around the club and he served us well. We wish him luck and hope he comes back to pick up his boots or something and just to say 'cheerio'. He was a popular guy here and I wish him all the best at Wolfsburg."

I think Soto surprised all of us.

He gave absolutely everything every time he pulled on the shirt and chipped in with a few useful goals. A few games early on last season I felt he was our best player. A good signing for £1.5m.

                              Good luck Soto
