    Bursaspor Crocodile Stadium

Not just 3 randomly generated words, as Bursaspor have had a new stadium designed with a crocodile on top, it is cool as fck.

Bursaspor reveal new 45,000-seater stadium plans - with crocodile on roof

Qatar World Cup stadium architects take note - Turkish club Bursaspor have begun building an awe-inspiring new arena, complete with a giant crocodile on the roof. Given Bursaspor's nickname (the 'Green Crocodiles'), it's no wonder the designers decided a massive crocodile head wrapped around the outside of the 45,000-seat stadium was the best way to intimidate their opponents.

Scheduled to be completed in time for the beginning of the 2013 season, the Timsah Arena will boast state-of-the-art facilities and will totally transform the central suburb of Osmangazi, in the club's home city of Bursa. Planning videos released by developers show sweeping panoramic shots of the stadium.

And it seems that at night is when the crocodile head really comes alive with high-powered illumination lighting up the eyes and mouth of the 'reptile'.

All this comes at a price, you may be thinking. Well, yes, but not as much as it could have been - with the club, along with the local government, putting forward £42m for development and construction. That's around five per cent of the cost of building Wembley. Bursaspor are aiming high after winning the Turkish Super Lig in 2009/10 and it is hoped the stunning design will aid the Turkish Football Federation's bid to host Euro 2020. They narrowly lost out to France in their bid to host the 2016 European Championships.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Well, i sort of like the idea, but would hate to have to go and watch my team in what looks like a giant plastic kiddies toy.

How about a 'liver bird on it's nest' stadium ? Use the 'birds nest' stadium form China plans, get a big Red Liver made and plonk it on top, what do we think....easily done ?

edit: oooooh, then we could make all the seats look like little liver bird eggs for the fans to sit in...brilliant! what a concept! actually that croc stadium could have done that too with croc egg seats, should i patent this idea ? you think....need some guidance here...incase they think of it as an after thought!

After a few years it'll look like an aged ride at Wet 'n' Wild.

Mate, these ideas are all genius.
Maybe just have the egg seats in the family enclosure though..?
