After that display by Arsenal today. Can anyone see them signing a top top class player? if i was a player and watched that i would have serious doubts about joining them due to the state of the squad and the pressure wenger will be under. I can't see the likes of Hazard ect wanting to go there.

You could say that, but Arsenal (and their participation in the CL) will still be a significant step up & a more attractive prospect than playing in Ligue 1.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostAfter that display by Arsenal today. A mate of mine was telling me that they had a stat on Sky ( rough figures) out of the 350m spent in this window the top 4 have spent 240m of it.
And it really shows.........Think we are going to go back to a top 4 this year and then the rest.
Happy days

I expect a £10m Coates bid to be launched tomorrow mate along with offering Bellamy £130k per week, a big signing on fee and a free ride on Arry's daughter in law.Originally posted by Gibbo9 View PostLille are in the CL aren't they? Any more news on the Spurs interest in Bellamy too, and has 'arry put a 10 million bid in for Coates yet.

I missed the footy yesterday (work), but I've just watched match of the day.
Manchester Utd are absolutely on fire at the moment, their passing and movement is superb and their finishing is clinical, however, I have to say that so many of those goals were complete gifts. I don't think I've ever witnessed such a poor combination of defending and goalkeeping in the premier league. Szczesny is ****ing dire, and the back 4 especially Djourou....jesus.

I'm glad to see Man City and specially manure peaking this early. Its still August ffs.
One thing we have seen with Chelsea and even ourselves in 08/09 is that peaking early means little unless you can time the finish just right. I expect Man City to go into a long slump and am hoping for injuries to Rooney and another manure defender. Welbeck's already out.
If we can stay thereabouts and then kick off in the second half we have a chance of winning the league. One tit for another.
