Interesting. I don't think he said it on purpose, it's like he wanted to use a different word and that came out. Anyone with half a brain would know that you can't and shouldn't drop that casually in to conversation, the way he continued speaking was almost like he was unaware he said it.

The word Holocaust just means total destruction so it is technically correct.

But the mealy-mouthed 'apology' afterwords is more insulting. A producer has recognised that it may have offended people and told her to apologise but she is more apologetic towards Tony than actually saying sorry.
