It's almost as awkward as when Shearer was saying England had to perform over the next 2-3 years, with Hodgson right beside him on MOTD. Cringe....

Thankfully Gary was there to a bail Roy out by offering the excuse that the golden generation was at an end and the players weren't there.........and, as you know, Roy loves it when people put forward excuses for him.

He was just saying now, how at the start of the court case when they went through the jurors to pick which ones would be involved out of a larger group, 'the third one was called Peter Crouch' he says too that 'he was 6"4 tall and thin as a rake just like Crouchie, he had even worked at Spurs'.

          Bosingwa hits back at Redknapp
Last updated Thu 10 Oct 2013

Jose Bosingwa has hit back at Harry Redknapp after he was accused of being unprofessional by the QPR manager in his new autobiography.

Redknapp labelled the high earning defender "disgraceful" for refusing to sit on the bench during his spell at QPR last season.

"I never forced anyone to give me that salary at QPR.

How can Redknapp do technical analysis on players if he spends his time negotiating with agents?

He thinks he is like Ferguson, but there is a difference: in his long career, he has only won one title.

He doesn't seem to know what he says. It's confusing. It must be his age or the wine he drinks every morning."

Bosingwa has gone up a notch in my book.

... but back down one for that damn monobrow. He sees it every day! How can he not deal with it?

Redknapp’s ‘alternate reality’: Do claims undermine his stories?

By Eurosport | Early Doors – 2 hours 39 minutes ago

Harry Redknapp is sure to look back on his managerial career to date and wish he’d done things a little differently. After all, hindsight is a wonderful thing.
However, it appears that in his recent tell-all autobiography, the Queens Park Rangers boss is attempting to re-write history, or perhaps his memory just fails him at times.

Unfortunately for the 66-year-old, the majority of readers of Always Managing are able to remember much of what unfolded over recent years and are able to point out a number of possible flaws in his recent claims.
Here are the pick of the bunch.

CLAIM: "Everyone said I was the people’s choice, the only choice. All the senior players seemed to be up for me to get the job. I got quite a few text messages at the time from players saying they would love me to manage England: Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, John Terry.”

'REALITY?' Gerrard: "I didn't text Harry Redknapp on his personal phone. I've never had his personal number. I had a conversation with Jamie when Harry was the favourite and it was 'only a matter of days' that he was going to be manager. I asked Jamie to send my best to his Dad and said we'd all back him."
              - - -
CLAIM: "When I left Bournemouth and went to West Ham as assistant manager in 1992, I’d had enough of being the bad guy. When you are the manager, you put up that team-sheet and, straight away, half the club hates you. Their wives hate you, too. At Bournemouth, Shaun Teale’s missus nearly ran me over after a row over about one hundred quid. She marched down to the training ground over some minor contractual issue, gave me a mouthful, I told her to p**s off, and the next thing I knew she was reversing out of the car park so fast she nearly took me with her."

.@ShaunTeale loved that Villa 93-94 season. Great memories! What do you think about Harry Redknapp?

@FootballRamble I seem to of played for a pair of managers who need to make things up to sell a book #atkinson/redknapp

@ShaunTeale what stuff has Redknapp made up?

@FootballRamble he says my wife tried to run him over the truth is my wife didnt learn to drive till years later
CLAIM: “There is some right old rubbish talked about Gareth Bale's time with me at Tottenham. I predicted [Bale] would be our Cristiano Ronaldo. I had always felt there was more to Gareth than left-back, or even left wing.”

'REALITY?' Redknapp in 2010: “If Bale’s going to be the best anywhere, I think it’ll be from left-back. Personally I feel his best position will eventually be left-back.”

CLAIM: “Was I ever going to sell Bale? No. Was I going to loan him? No. I would never sell Gareth. I've heard talk - everyone from Richard Keys to Alex McLeish - making it sound as if what happened to Bale's career was a fluke and that I never fancied him.”

'REALITY?' Redknapp on the move that never was: “It did go pretty close. I know there were discussions between [Tottenham, Birmingham and Nottingham Forest]. The clubs had agreed the potential of the move. It was something we had to think about but he wanted to stay at Spurs. It probably got to the stage where it was Gareth's decision. He made his mind up to stay and fight for his place.”

CLAIM: “Kenwyne Jones had spent the previous season out on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke City, who were both outside the Premier League — and, at Wednesday in particular, he had looked terrific. He had only played a handful of matches for us and hadn’t been too clever but we thought perhaps this level would suit him. We got our first shock in pre-season training when we did a bleep test and Kenwyne was beaten by my assistant Kevin Bond.”

              'REALITY?'

@KJ9nes hey Kenwyne, have you read this about you from Harry Redknapp today? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...yne-Jones.html
              Kenwyne j Jones @KJ9nes
@SCFCRoss don't believe everything you read son
CLAIM: “I didn't want to leave Portsmouth. I had done a good job there; it was Milan Mandaric's decision to bring another man in.”

'REALITY?' Redknapp after leaving Portsmouth in 2004: “It is something I have been thinking about for a while. I made it without any pressure from the chairman or the board.”

CLAIM: “Rangers had players like Jose Bosingwa, who just six months earlier had won the Champions League final with Chelsea, but he wasn’t going to give his all. I found out the extent of the problem after we beat Fulham and Bosingwa refused to sit on the subs bench. I’d had problem players in the past but I thought his attitude was disgraceful. The attitude stank. Attitude towards the game, attitude towards training. I can’t remember a worse one — and behaviour like that cannot be altered overnight.”

'REALITY?' Bosingwa: "How can he [Redknapp] make technical analysis of the players at training when he is almost constantly in the dressing room dealing with agents and rarely turns up on the pitch? He's obviously frustrated. By the way he speaks he thinks he is a type of Alex Ferguson figure, but there is a difference: throughout his long career, he has not won a single trophy."

Saw him on Jonathon Ross over weekend telling some tale about a fan giving him stick at a West Ham friendly to the point he claimed he told him if he thought he could do better get on the pitch. Apparantly he gave the guy a set of boots and he played the second half and scored.

What a load of bull that is and if id did happen which is doubtful how unprofessional is that

Your right he is Billy Liar
