Be good if we could send him to Wigan on loan, or even Swansea.

Would rather we just gave him more games though.

Think Wigan would be our best bet if he was going to another PL club. Think he'd want to stay close to his SA mates here.

To be honest I've not been impressed with Coates at all. His lack of game time will be down to the fact that he just isn't very good. If we had some other good back up options then im convinced he would be sent out on loan to see if he improves but since we only seem to have Carra as backup we can't do that

I *almost* agree. Coates has shown glimpses of his ability that make me think that he does have a future here; However, there are certain traits that he needs to eradicate from his game and certain things he needs to learn - none of which can be done from the subs bench.

For me he looked shaky when he arrived and he still looks shaky now. When he came I thought he had potential but he hasn't kicked on. Saying that though he is only 22 and there was a time when Martin Skrtle was pure ****e too so maybe he will come good.

I do think he either needs to go on loan or just get chucked in the deep end when we get an injury
