i would go three at the back with skrtel carra and coates. using johnson and downing as the wing backs. midfield three of allen, lucas and gerrard with carroll up front and suarez off him.

I'd worry about Carra being exposed against the pace and power of Tevez and Aguero. City are quite a big team too so Coates' size would help at corners.

Really hope Coates is in for Carra against City. Tough ask for any defender but Carra will be destroyed on the deck against City.
