I'd put them in a similar catagory to Sunderland and West Ham and Villa, at around £200m

If you think Stones (£40m) Coleman (£20m) and Barkley, Kenwright must have been tempted

How much do they own (other than the players etc)? I believe that they sold the licence to run their official store so they don't own that which must limit the income they get somewhat. Didn't they also sell the training ground and rent it back? Do they even own Goodison now? All that must have a (negative) effect on the valuation of the club.

Yeah probably around that figure, even Bournmouth were up at around 100mill after promotion.

You know it. Sell the assets, sell the club, and stay the **** away from the city of Liverpool. For Ever. (EDIT: oH, and better move all the relatives out too, just to be safe. )

Hang on! isn't that what the fans want. Doh!

As a vehicle for attracting the Sky money alone they are worth it. Looking past assets such as property. Leeds and Palace were sold a few times iirc without any land or a ground as part of the deals

Is it though? Presumably the majority of their income comes from Sky, if alot of their merchandise income is going to some outsourced company and if they aren't able to extend their ground if someone else owns it (I'm not sure about this), that must seriously limit their ability to increase revenue which is presumably what a new owner would want to do. Surely that doesn't make them an attractive option.

Weren't Palace outside the PL then? Getting the club into the PL was a way of significantly increasing revenue for them.

Imagine a bunch of born not manufactured kids following an old map found in the Dusty trophy cabinet of a club threatened with demolition trying to find the lost treasure of One Eyed Billy. The Bloonies

My contacts (a quick google) tell me that there is no sell on clause. Rovers were strapped for cash at the time and took what was offered.

What a ****ing farce. If this was one of us, we'd be doing time I'm sure.

                        ===========

Everton midfielder Darron Gibson has been banned from the roads after pleading guilty to drink-driving.

Gibson, 27, admitted driving while over the limit for alcohol, driving without care and attention and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

The Republic of Ireland international was banned from driving for 20 months and sentenced to a 12-month community order, with an unpaid work requirement of 200 hours.

The accident, near his home in Bowdon, Cheshire, catapulted one cyclist through the air and left another with bruising.

One bike was completely snapped to pieces following the collision on August 16 this year.

Gibson then drove off up Dunham Road, colliding with the base of a petrol pump at a Shell garage before getting out with no shoes on and attempting to refuel his car.

At that point, the petrol pump attendant called police and he was arrested.

As you say any of us would have been doing time and rightly so, how has he got off so lightly?
