The Rooney one is strange, I can't see him playing as much when the season gets going. Ramirez though I reckon will be decent if he can settle, A few people i know who follow Spanish footie are surprised a bigger Spanish club didn't come in for him - Supposedly Everton did everything under the radarI make no apologies, this is me

to be fair I think they've done some decent business - rumours they are after Giroud as well - so if they signed him and Sigurdsson and cashed in on barkley they would have had a pretty interesting summer and will be interesting to see how they fair.Originally posted by Lecter View PostThink its a little off to have a pop at them
IMO they have generally improved their side, how big the improvement is, is the multi million $$ question
Pickford is a definite upgrade
Keane is an upgrade on the ageing Jagielka
Klassen will be effective imo
The big question marks are on Rooney and the Spanish bloke and whether they can fill Lukakus boots
If they get Gylfi they will have a half decent side, not sure it will challenge for top 4 but stranger things have happened
They will spend the bulk of the Lukaku money and will probably sell Barkley
They are getting excited over there though and are very much dissing our signings (which is amusing imo) and apparently they are signing Van Dijk
I don't think they've done anywhere near enough to be serious top four contenders and they've certainly paid over the odds for a few players (but in this market who isn't) but they've identified targets, made their move and got them in early so I can see why they are feeling a bit smug about it all.
It will be funny when we beat them in the derby again though! cause they can have zero excuses this time now! - Now they have billionaire owners, brilliant manager, best squad in years, money spent etc etc They've convinced themselves they are now up there with the besti own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Yeah, they are giving it a go. They can't attract the top level players, so they have to go for a couple of levels below. They are making the best of the situation they're in.Originally posted by PTP View Postto be fair I think they've done some decent business - rumours they are after Giroud as well - so if they signed him and Sigurdsson and cashed in on barkley they would have had a pretty interesting summer and will be interesting to see how they fair.

Their constant crowing about our "heads falling off" etc. is cringeworthy though. They are so quick to turn on their players that if some of these new signings don't make a good start I can see the wheels falling off pretty quickly.

that's their latest one isn't it
used to be the peoples club ****e - then we had things like "born not manufactured" or whatever else
now it's "heads are falling off" - virtually every everton fan I know has posted something about our heads falling off in the past few weeks
Ok granted our heads may be falling off over our own transfer dealings - but it's never ever anything to do with what they are up too.
I was trying to have a fair discussion with my uncle the other night - a proper bitter blue, but it was a family event thing, a bit boring, my gf wasn't there and my auntie was up dancing so it was just the two of us sat at the table
I started with - to be fair, I think rooneys not a bad move for you - if he can get fit, with his experience he will add to your squad, especially if you got say giroud as your main striker
within minutes my head was falling off because we can't afford VVD and we've missed out on Keane who has the potential to be the next bobby moore
