The replies are tough but fair - go to a football game looking for a fight away to Millwall and you run the risk. Poor guy is scarred for life though.

I often wonder if I was at a game and saw a group of my mates being attacked how would I react or if I saw a group of fans of the same side being attacked would I try to ‘help’ them. We’ve no idea if this was arranged or just bad luck of two groups bumping into each other but the guy with the knife is utter scum.

A lot of the replies I am seeing say he deserved it and it's his own fault. Which is obviously nonsense. People who carry blades are idiots. People that use them are scum.

Yeah I have no sympathy for the lad. Yes he shouldn't have been slashed but of he didn't put himself in that situation it wouldn't have happened. Went looking for trouble and found it.

Harsh but truth is that it happened in a fight zone, it wasn't a random attack down an alley

Looks like he chose to go to a preorganised fight. Didn't deserve to be slashed but was a bit divvy to go there

I have seen talk that he is part of the so called Everton firm,so got no sympathy for him and if you see the video of the fight he starts at the back but makes sure he pushes through to the front.

I know **** all about him but i don't define him as a victim. If he was helping a mate out, fair enough but he engaged in that from that video evidence. Millwall are pure scum though and the perpetrator should should serve time and be banned from football, however hard that is to regulate. I guess if he's found near a game he fails parole conditions.
