Doesn't that just imply that at the moment the PL aren't involved? Only when/if Moshiri agrees to sell do they then look into 777's suitability as owners. They are 8 months on from an "agreed" sale, which implies to me it was verbal and not enough to trigger the owner scrutiny tests?

      You may well be right.
And all the time everton fall further and further into debt to a consortium who may go bankrupt themselves.

Even without the stadium costs they cannot fund themselves in the current climate, losing the oil money hurt and went to show how over inflated it was as they can't get anyone even at a buttons price to sponsor finch farm ( which is council owned ).

Why did a club that can't afford it daily running costs procced with a stadium that's going to end up costing them £1bn?

Because it was propped up by Russian dosh under a dodgy stooge.

TBF they have tried to move to a new stadium about 10 times over the last 25 years, I'm gobsmacked they turned down LCC offer to fund it and even more gobsmacked they didn't go to the markets when credit was effectively free - Now they are racking up interest charges in the mid teens. Whopping incompetence from them, beggars belief.

                It is ****in nuts alright.

I thought that new stadiums made a lot of sense for teams that could attract a lot of hospitality customers. I read when Arsenal moved into the Emirates, the middle tier of about 10 rows made them something stupid like 25% of the match day revenue. The fact that they are a couple of stops away from the city, then they have huge corporate pull. West Ham probably thought something similar being so close to canary. Wharf but i understand they dont get as much corporate cash as Arsenal. But the fact is that with the population of London, there will always be fans that have a few quid and will pay for premium seats. Similarly with huge clubs like Man United and Liverpool - we mightnt have corporate cuatomers on the scale of London clubs but because we are huge clubs, there will be fans from all over the world male the pilgrimage and be willing to pay 3 or 4 hundred quid for a ticket that comes with a programme, a warm Carlsberg and some "street food"

I just dont see it with "the peoples club" to be honest. They got circa 40k for every home game. They will be able to fill the stadium but i dont see people travelling from afar to pay 300 quid a ticket to be honest. And the corporate customers - the likes of local builders etc won't all of a sudden pay twice what they were before. Their core fans will probably kick off about match tickets going up a fiver too (with good reason too when they need to sell all of their decent players - which is about 3.players!!)

Back of the fag packet calcs - an extra 12,000 seats at say 80 quid a seat extra (being generous there but that includes a typical average spend in the bar etc) comes out at approximately a million extra a game. So they should break even after a thousand home games

They see Everton as a "sleeping giant" of English football with potential to secure a place "at the top of world football again" through the new stadium being built on Bramley-Moore Dock.

Thats all Everton need is a bunnch of crack heads at the top table!!

Without Moshri's loans, Eve owe £600m - where does the £400m come from So Moshris and lenders take a haircut - Can't see it ?

or is it. £400m + loans - Moshri gets back 75%

Either way, they would have to grow the revenue, Ala us, to get anywhere near a return any time soon. Can't really See Sean Dyche doing a Clop !

In reality though there is a potential bargain there for someone with their new stadium in the post too
Put it this way, i reckon the likes of Taylor Swift will be playing there as opposed to Anfield in a few years time (dont know why they didn't stump up for a retractable roof would have been a game changer).

Also, some of their high earners are starting to have their contracts expire so there is potential there to be fair.
