I'm not saying that Brendan was 100% the right choice for Liverpool, I'm still undecided about him even now. He's had a hell of a job to do this first year.

I know that I am glad it wasn't Martinez we got. He strikes me as a media manager.

I just think that the two are similar quality managers. Rodgers has impressed me with how he has adapted his tactics in the second half of the season but I think Martinez is at least as adept. Given the constraints that he had at Wigan I think Martinez did a really good job. It's more that the blithe dismissal of his ability compared to Rodgers that I disagree with than necessarily thinking he is the better manager.
