On a poll on GOT over 80% would rather title/4th. Id imagine if it the reverse situation it would be about the same

I would love Everton to snatch 4th. Maybe wanting that will piss off some people here but I hope not. It would be great to see the clubs from the city of Liverpool dominating for the next decade whilst the big spending clubs from Manchester and London fall into mediocrity. I think Martinez has done a good job and is a good Manager. Personally I like him. And I still remember the 80s when the Liverpool - Everton rivalry was a friendly rivalry like brothers competing. Of course we were the big brother that won most of the time so it was easier for us.

providing we finish above them or won the league i'd be happy for everton to finish 4th....
1 - it's great for the city, it's great for the two clubs - and i'd argue that the stronger everton are then the better we will be because we'd demand to be above them
2 - no champions league effects Arsenal/Spurs/United more than it benefits Everton getting in....
Everton even with extra champions league money would still struggle as their squad isn't strong enough and they wouldn't attract the quality requiredi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Maybe they won't be as bitter if they finish 4th.
When it comes to the derby, I'm desperate to beat them every game 4-0.
But the rivalry is very much different than that of the mancs. I wouldn't want Everton to get relegated for example, I wouldn't want them to disappear. Can't say that for the mancs.
The addition of Martinez as their manager and them playing some nice football this year makes me respect them a lot more. It would also be funny if Arsenal missed out on top 4 too this season. Wenger might very well go and then the wheels will really start to fall off.

My friend in work says exactly the sameOriginally posted by Leyton388 View PostJust come across his thread on a bitter site and they wonder why they never win **** all or do anything meaningful in football. Basically some of their fans would rather everton miss out on CL football and us not win the league than everton getting 4th and us winning the league. No ambition just bitterness.

I find it baffling, surely you want your own team to do well more than anything?
They're messed up, bitter beyond belief, and they don't even seem to see anything wrong with it.

Bitter mate texted me on Saturday evening, bemoaning Terry's OG. "Lucky cunts, even Terry's scoring OGs to help you out FFS"Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostMy friend in work says exactly the same

So I asked him if he'd take us winning the league now if it meant they finished 4th, and he replied
"As ****ing if"

Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

i wouldnt mind them getting 4th if we win the title, as i would like to think it might make them less bitter and they could talk about themselves instead of us.
however, i think this is a little too rose tinted and the bitterness is so ingrained it will not wash off that easily
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

My son was in conversation with his sociology teacher and a bluenose mate of his the other day. The sociology teacher is a blue as well - the conversation they were having revolved around how much they detest Brendan "so smug" Rodgers and how if they had the choice, they'd rather see Everton struggle against relegation every year than Liverpool ever win the Premier League again. Seriously

I can't wait to see their twisted bitter heads explode if we win the league. Would be priceless. If their fans weren't so bitter and small time I wouldn't mind them finishing 4th as It would be good for the city and for them but **** them.
I hope they beat Arsenal next week and go into the city gaming with something to fight for in 4h place and getting a result against them. Their fans would be booing their team off the pitch.
