Yeah. Its weird. He said to me Id be the same. I said there was never a chance Id want to miss out on success for my club just to spite a rival. Its simply ridiculous

What is wrong with borrowing another player for a fee? Think about it. It's not actually borrowing is it. Loan fees are usually paid, and you get the player for a set period. What will happen to these players at the end of the season? They will go back to their clubs and either stay there, or be loaned again, or they will be sold permanently, unless they are at the end of their contract.
Samuel speaks sloblocks as usual.
Samuel's a ****. No point reading his drivel really. Are we winning?

luckily there is no ****ing way martinez or the players will feel like that - they want the champions league!
i'm just hopeful Arsenal pull their ****ing heads together and get some results so that come the everton vs city game it means something.
i'll be ****ing pissed if arsenal continue to collapse so much that by time city/everton play everton are guarenteed 4th
what a nightmare that'd be - 4th guarenteed for everton and city desperate to wini own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Ten years of Moyes only reinforced their inferiority complex. Hopefully the positivity from Martinez will help them to actually want their club to do well irrespective of how any other team does.Originally posted by PTP View Postluckily there is no ****ing way martinez or the players will feel like that - they want the champions league!

Yep, that's an ideal scenario. More crucially it gives Palace one point but not all three. So they can't take their City game lightly either, while still giving them enough of a safety net to rest against us afterwards.Originally posted by PTP View Postboth arsenal/everton play mid week don't they?
need an arsenal win and everton draw
- get them level points with two games before they play city
One tit for another.

There's a huge difference between our set of fans and a large proportion of theirs. In my opinion I'd love to see Everton get Champions League Football this season, whereas a vast majority of their fans would hate to see us win the league and would rather finish outside the top 4 to try and sabotage our title challenge.
I'm not being funny like, but if they got CL football, surely within four or so years, now they have a decent manager, they could think about the league title themselves? With the extra revenue they could afford to keep Lukaku, Barry and that young lad from Barca. Whilst being able to pluck a few decent players from Europe, greatly improving their squad and trying to catch up with Arsenal who have stagnated under Wenger.

CL football would change that entire club from top to bottom. However the goblins that support them can't see the wood for the trees. Luckily for them they have a manager with ambition who couldn't give two ****s about what LFC do as he works for EFC and wants to manage in the CL.
The players themelves want CL football after having a superb season. Does anyone think the players, manager or chairman give a **** what their Goblin fans think when CL football is on offer?Last edited by Leyton388; 14-04-14, 09:25 PM.

I like this, get it sorted Dom!Originally posted by dom9 View PostI think a quota system would be relatively simple to implement. You could set a limit of say 30 on the number of professional playing contracts a club can have at any time outside the transfer window, with another limit of 25 players registered to play in competition. That would leave a maximum surplus of five players who could be loaned out.
If you want to loan in 25 players and follow a suicidal short term strategy, then that'd be your choice.
This would reduce the amount of hoarding, pimping and whoring of players, and would also result in the the market being flooded with cheap ex academy players who are not good enough to play for City or Liverpool but still have a solid future ahead of them. This would help smaller clubs pick up these players on longer term contracts relatively cheaply.
Bingo!
As another point, loans between premier league clubs is only a recent thing, for years it was banned. The clubs themselves didn't want inter team loans. Then it got changed for whatever reason and now we see why thats not a good idea.

The caretaker/handyman.general for our office is a bitter. Normally have good banter with him.
Pulled into the car park today and he just stuck his fingers up at me
He's a good lad really - not one of thes knobs who would rather see them fail if the flip side was up succeeding more but he is finding it so hard to enjoy Everton's run with us bossing it!
Keeps leaving me "Tom Daley FC" fridge magnet messages
Football without Origi is nothing

I think your mate can rest easy cos the refs aren't announced until the Monday before the game so no ref has been appointed for that game.Originally posted by Boogar View PostBitters have got Clatenburg reffing their game against Citeh. My mate is convinced he's going to **** them up
