their latest phrase seems to be "heads fell off"

apparently all the Liverpool fans heads are falling off over this news and we are all fewmin!!

really? - I've not seen anyone red losing their **** over this? - in fact, we've been here before with spades in the ground! - they seem convinced that just because someones said "hmm I think we could build a stadium here", then it automatically means that they are going to have a brand new stadium, built free of charge, meaning they have £500m to spend on players and both players and stadium will be ready for the start of next season
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

It depends if Anderson empties the council coffers to make it happen, smells a little of the West Ham / Olympic park deal where they will get a stadia for next to nothing.
The regen will be fantastic, but I really can't see it getting funded especially with Brexit on the cards given the EU would have put in part of the funding
I make no apologies, this is me

I seem to remember them announcing the same thing about the kings docks in 2003.

I couldn't give a **** if they pay for their own stadium. I'd be pissed if they got a taxpayer funded stadium but that's got **** all to do with Liverpool Everton rivalry.

Nice one. A waterfront stadium. That's great. Middlesbrough have one of them too!
As do Fulham. And West Ham. And Nottingham Forest. And Notts County. And the Millennium Stadium. And the old / new Plough Lane.

There is a long way to go and I would say a lot of redtape, alls that has happened is they have done a deal for the land and agreed a deal with the council to act as a guarantor for any loan they get.so as it stands they don't have any designs finalised,no planning application put in,no contractors in place and not secured the money yet.
                        who's arsed?

I'd be fairly confident this country will see 2 more general elections before they kick a ball in that stadium.

Get some plans from a variety of architects, submit plans to the council. Will be stiff opposition to the council tying a millstone around its neck to support a football club 55,000 stadium when last season average a fraction over 38,000 in a ground that holds a fraction under 40,000.

It wouldn't surprise if the decision went right up to judicial review / home secretary. It won't just be people objecting to the council backing it will be the concerns over the congestion it will generate and if the transport infrastructure can deal with the numbers. Marine conservationists will probably have something to say as well as such a significant development will cause issues there with disturbance and disruption to habitats.

If they finally get the go ahead - lets say 3 years - they still have to go out to tender and filling in a dock to support a sports stadium won't be quick...

And... At the end of the day.

Its still next to a ****ing sewer works

There are some who think it is in the shadow of the liver building and that every photo of the waterfront will have the stadium in it,the reality is it is about 1.5 miles away and is closer to bootle than the city centre.

It's not the prime location the Kings Dock could've been is it?
