£31m for Keane suggests at least £50m for Virgil.

Disagree - Good defender and will only get better IMO, will be a cross between Cahill and Ferdinand - i.e. solid but comfortable on the ball. Not very quick tho which may hamperOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostI think Keane will be a bit more exposed and isn't as good as some think. As for their other signings, bar the Ajax lad I've no idea who they are. They're still miles behind us, even more so if we get Baby Keith and Van Dijk.
Will be a decent signing who ever gets him........I make no apologies, this is me

I've not seen a great deal of him but I suspect he will be an upgrade on an ageing Jagielka. So he'll definitely be an improvement and I would expect Koeman to make him better.Originally posted by Deano View PostDisagree - Good defender and will only get better IMO, will be a cross between Cahill and Ferdinand - i.e. solid but comfortable on the ball. Most things are an upgrade on Jagielka... Keane, Klavan, a chocolate bar just to name some options.Originally posted by dww View PostI've not seen a great deal of him but I suspect he will be an upgrade on an ageing Jagielka. thought it would be more replacing Barkley with Rooney.....and Lukaku with Giroud.Originally posted by cream View PostCunts ruining football with all that money they're throwing around.
Selling lukaku and replacong him with Rooney would be piss funny.
And this is why they are so excited????!!!!!_____________________________________
Weak willed, Wank or do they have a masterplan?

They're spending a lot of money on players who are better than what they have but aren't exactly making anyone above them sit up and take too much notice.
Previous experience tells us that bringing in a lot of players in a short period can be difficult to get a tune out of, both us and Spurs have been through this in recent years and I expect Everton to be no different.
Whilst they're getting very excited and may well yet bring in Rooney (who makes no sense), Sigurdsson and Martina it still seems likely Lukaku and Barkley will move on which puts immediate pressure on the new arrivals to deliver.
My prediction for Everton is 7th again, a position that doesn't guarantee a Europa League spot and their net spend to be roughly £15m.Vive la France
