For a guy with a win percentage of less than 40% and a 'Winning' CV consisting of

    Limerick
League of Ireland First Division: 1991–92

    Notts County
    Football League Third Division: 1997–98

    Bolton Wanderers
Football League First Division play-offs: 2001

    West Ham United
    Football League Championship play-offs: 2012

He is strangely lauded as some sort of big time brilliant appointment. Bizarre.

to be fair he is something of a relegation survivor, thats his 'speciality'
he often only has **** teams to manage and some donkey players too.
he realises you cant play total football with some dodgy players so will try and get the best out of what he has to work with.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

You are forgetting England manager! That looks good on any CV

...and Newcastle - his "biggest" job to date, where he was hounded out by booing. Can't see his ambition matching the billionaire boys' - they've moved on to competing with City and Chelsea after all.

So how are the Everton fans taking the news? Are super excited about Big Sam and Little Sam?

To be fair his ability to get a team through the Championship play offs could come in as handy experience next season.

He will probably guide them to their first derby win at Anfield for years

Wait a second. They actually have a song they play at woodison that has the lyrics "We don't care what the Red****e say"
